Night Life in Kampala is a mixture of beautifully dressed women, Cocktails, Loud Music and casinos. Ugandans enjoy going out and the bars and night clubs in Kampala stay open until morning and the party continues all over Kampala.

 

Nightlife is relatively safe because of bouncers in the bars and clubs and Ugandans for the most part are simply friendly and hospitable. A body-search takes place when entering most night spots.
Nightlife in Kampala truly starts around Wednesday which is ladies night and free for ladies in most of the happening places like Rock Gardens (speke Hotel), Club Rouge, Mateos, Steak Out, Club T1, Hi Table and of course the traditional discotheques.


Ugandans like to party and thus there is no shortage of nightspots to let your hair down.The more popular clubs in Kampala are in the old industrial. Club Silk, Rouge and Angenoir Mystique are the best. Here you can plan on staying late and up into the early dawn, as it is known for always providing a good time.

Silk and Ange Noir are relatively close to each other, so if you get tired of one, just take a stroll to the other.

Bubbles OLearys - Kampala On Acacia Avenue is an authentic-feeling Irish pub.This bar is a must. They do a good range of pub food, music and an even better mix of people. Bubbles O’Leary, a transplanted Irish Pub, is an authentic pub popular with Ex-Pats. The place plays good music has pub-grub and stays open until early in the morning. A bit of Ireland in Kampala, Bubbles is the place to go! From cold beers, a friendly chat or a game of rugby on the box!

Kampala offers some great nightlife for those who are looking to stay up late and enjoy their evening. Other popular destinations are Just Kicking, a sports bar on the Kissaminti strip, Kampala Casino –Kimathi Avenue Garden City – The Biggest Shopping Complex in Uganda.  Al’s Bar at “Half London”,  Kansanga Wagadugu at Kisementi, Kamwokya DV8 or Hotel Sabrina’s Pub on Bombo Road.

 There are also numerous drinking places and bars. The Sheraton also has a British style Pub serving ale’s from around the world …. at a price! Uganda as a nation loves food, and no celebration is ever complete without a feast. As a result there is no shortage of eating places in the country. Food is generally cheap and there is something to suit every pocket and taste. Prices range from a mere Ush2000 to 60,000 a head depending on what you have and where you choose to dine.

 

 For those who want to try the delicious Buganda traditional dish called “oluwombo”, don’t miss Ekitobeero Restaurant on Kintate Road near Fairway Hotel. Looking to spend a bit of cash?
